Redmi has quietly launched a smartphone under a brand-new "M" series, the Redmi M100. It's a budget phone that's aimed at making phone operation easier for senior users with a convenient software skin on top.

Redmi M100 Specifications and Features

The Redmi M100 runs Xiaomi's Surge OS 3 out of the box and notably includes a dedicated elder care mode. This brings larger icons and fonts, as well as media and ringtone volume boosted up to 300%

Additionally, the mode also brings the ability to block unwanted calls, a feature clearly aimed at making the phone easier to read, hear and use for older users.

Up front, the phone houses a 6.9-inch LCD display with a 1600 x 720 resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The panel also offers eye-protection features and Gorilla Glass protection.

On the design front, the Redmi M100 features a four-dimensional micro-curved back with RGB dynamic lighting around the camera module. It also carries dust and splash resistance, along with a fingerprint sensor rated for up to 500,000 touches.

Powering the phone is the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset, a 4nm octa-core chipset that Xiaomi has also used on the Redmi 17 5G.

The Redmi M100 also packs a massive 7,900mAh battery, supporting 45W wired charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging. It's also compatible with the PPS charging protocol, meaning users aren't locked into Xiaomi's own charger and can use compatible third-party fast chargers instead.

Camera-wise, the phone keeps things modest with a 13 MP main rear camera. Features like film filters, portrait mode, night mode, live photos, dual-view shooting, Pro mode, and document scanning back it.

Up front, a 5 MP selfie camera rounds things out with beauty mode, face recognition, portrait mode and night mode support.
