The Redmi Note 17 Pro and Note 17 Pro Max have launched in India, bringing up to a massive 10,000mAh battery and 100W charging to the lineup. This also marks the first time Redmi has introduced a "Pro Max" model in its Note series.
Redmi Note 17 Pro Max Specifications and Features
Starting with the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max, one of the biggest USP of the latest smartphone is its battery capacity. This is the first Note series phone to feature a whopping 10,000mAh battery.
This is the highest capacity among all the Xiaomi phones and Redmi phones that have been launched so far. The smartphone also comes with 100W fast charging and 27W reverse wired charging support.
At the front, the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max is equipped with a 6.83-inch 1.5K 120 Hz 12-bit AMOLED display with a 3,200 Hz touch sampling rate, 3,500 nits of peak brightness and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. The panel also supports TÜV Rheinland certification for blue light.
For performance, the smartphone relies on the fairly recent Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset and is paired with 8 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 4.1 storage. The phone ships with HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 and is promised 4 years of OS and 6 years of security updates.
For photography and video, the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max gets a dual rear camera setup, complete with a 50 MP main sensor and an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The smartphone also gets a 32 MP selfie camera with 4K video recording support.
As for durability, Redmi Note 17 Pro Max comes with IP66 + IP68 + IP69 + IP69K ratings and TÜV SÜD certification. Rest, the phone features an in-display fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, an infrared sensor, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 6.0, dual-SIM 5G, GPS, NFC and a USB-C port.

As for the Redmi Note 17 Pro, this is a toned-down variant of the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max with almost similar specs, but with some key differences. For starters, the phone comes with a 9,000mAh battery capacity and brings slower 67W wired and 22.5W reverse wired charging support.
The phone features a 6.83-inch 1.5K 12-bit AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, 240 Hz touch sampling rate, TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification and a peak brightness of 3,500 nits. The panel is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2, the same as the Note 17 Pro Max.
Under the hood, the phone runs on last-year's Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset, paired with up to 12 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. On the software front, the phone runs on Android 16-based HyperOS 3.
As for cameras, the Redmi Note 17 Pro also features dual rear cameras with a 50 MP main camera and an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle lens. However, the selfie camera is downgraded to 16 MP.
