Redmi has confirmed it will launch the Redmi Note 17 Pro series on September 15, 2026. A dedicated microsite has gone live on Amazon, which confirms mammoth batteries and official colourways while revealing the design of the smartphones.
Redmi Note 17 Pro Series to Feature 10,000mAh Battery in India
The headline feature of the Redmi Note 17 Pro series will be an enormous 10,000mAh battery. Supported by the tagline "The mAhster of strength", Redmi claims the phone can last for over four days of light usage on a single charge.

The series is expected to consist of two phones – Redmi Note 17 Pro and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max. For those unaware, the Chinese variant of the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max boasts a 10,000mAh battery, whereas the Note 17 Pro gets a 9,000mAh cell.
This would make Redmi the second manufacturer to do so, the first being the Realme P4 Power with a staggering 10,001mAh cell. Charging-speed-wise, the Note 17 Pro could boast 67W fast charging, whereas the Pro Max could max out at 100W. Both phones are also expected to get 22.5W reverse wired charging.
The microsite also reveals the back design of the smartphones, with a squircle camera layout consisting of a 50 MP main camera, a secondary lens and an LED flash. The standard Note 17 Pro can be seen in Cloudy Blue, while the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max appears in Sunset Yellow colourway with a 50 MP AI Camera branding on the back.

While the page doesn't give away concrete specifications yet, it's highly plausible that they will be similar to the Chinese variant. For starters, the Note 17 Pro Max could get a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset paired with a 6.83-inch 1.5K 120 Hz AMOLED display for content consumption.
The Redmi Note 17 Pro, on the other hand, could arrive with a Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor. Both phones could be protected by an IP68/69 water resistance rating.
With the microsite now live, more information about the smartphones should be added as the Redmi Note 17 Pro's September 15, 2026, launch date gets closer. Speaking of which, Xiaomi's newly launched Magnetic Power Bank will also go on sale on the same date, so there's that.
