Xiaomi's sub-brand Redmi has launched the Redmi Pad 2 in India. It's a tablet that aims to deliver a good experience without burning a hole in your pocket.
The Redmi Pad 2 is a 11-inch tablet that's aimed at users who watch content or are getting started into the creative industry. It's an LCD display with 2560 × 1600 pixels resolution and 90 Hz refresh rate with 600 nits of peak brightness.

It is powered by MediaTek Helio G100 Ultra chipset, and it's a slightly overclocked version of the standard Helio G100. The tablet features up to 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. Powering it is a 9,000 mAh battery capable of charging at 18W.

The Redmi Pad 2 also has Quad Speakers on offer with Dolby Atmos. The rear camera is an 8 MP snapper, and the front hosts a 5 MP unit for video calls. It runs HyperOS 2.0 based on Android 15, and is promised two major updates.
The tablet will be available in both Cellular + Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi-only variants. The base 4 GB + 128 GB version is Wi-Fi-only. Cellular models are available in both 6 GB + 128 GB and 8 GB + 256 GB variants.

Lastly, there are two colours on offer – Graphite Gray and Sky Blue. For the creative heads, Redmi's existing Smart Pen will work with the tablet, which users need to buy separately.
As for the pricing, the base variant after bank discounts costs Rs 12,999 whereas the cellular 6 GB + 128 GB variant will cost Rs 14,999. The top 8 GB + 256 GB variant effectively costs Rs 16,999. All variants will go on sale on Flipkart, Amazon, and Xiaomi's official website starting June 24.
