Key details about the upcoming Redmi Turbo 5 smartphone has started to appear online. It is expected to arrive soon in China and as the Poco X8 Pro in the global markets. Now, the core specifications of the smartphone like battery and build have surfaced online.
Redmi Turbo 5 could feature serious CMF upgrades
Tipster Digital Chat Station in a Weibo post claims that Redmi is planning some serious upgrades with the upcoming Redmi Turbo 5 smartphone. It is expected to gain a metal mid-frame compared to the plastic build on the Redmi Turbo 4.

Not only that. On the battery front as well the Turbo 5 is said to bring a 7,500mAh capacity compared to the 6,550mAh cell inside the Turbo 4. It will even apparently support 100W fast USB-C charging compared to the last gen's 90W.
Other than that, as revealed earlier by DCS in a separate Redmi Turbo 5 spec leak post, the Turbo 5 will also bring a 1.5K LTPS OLED display. However, looks like the phone will stick to an optical fingerprint scanner, a contrary to what DCS claimed previously.

Other than that, the smartphone could top it all off with an official IP68 rating. While DCS has not commented on the processor of the smartphone, previous speculations hinted at the Dimensity 8500 Ultra SoC.
Apart from that, details like camera and other aspects of the Turbo 5 remain unknown at the time of writing. That said, the smartphone is expected to go official in India as early as November 2025. It will very likely launch in the global markets as the Poco X8 Pro. However, nothing has been made official yet. So, we will know more details about the Redmi Turbo 5 as the official launch date nears.
