Key specifications of the upcoming Redmi Turbo 5 have surfaced, suggesting the phone will launch with a massive battery and a great display. From the looks of it, this will be one of the biggest batteries we've ever seen on a smartphone.
Redmi Turbo 5 could set a new battery standard
According to Digital Chat Station, the Redmi Turbo 5 could be powered by a massive 9,000mAh silicon-carbon battery alongside 100W fast charging. The tipster also revealed the upcoming phone from Redmi could feature a 1.5K LTPS OLED display with an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

Furthermore, the new information suggests the device will be fully waterproof, meaning we could see an IP69/69 rating. Besides, it could use a metal frame and boast a simple lens design, pointing toward a typical Redmi camera experience that won't bring anything extraordinary to the table.
The design of the Redmi Turbo 5 is expected to be very similar to the Turbo 4. In response to a comment asking about the phone's release date, DCS revealed that it could arrive in Q1 2026, which makes sense considering the Redmi Turbo 4 launched on January 2, 2025.

While the tipster did not reveal other specifications, we know from the previous rumours that the Dimensity 8500 Ultra SoC could power the Redmi Turbo 5. It could be comparable to the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 in terms of performance. The exact camera specifications and other parameters are currently unknown.
For global markets such as India, the Redmi Turbo 5 is expected to be rebranded as the Poco X8 Pro and could launch around the same time. More details about the smartphone should surface as we inch closer to launch, so stay tuned.
