A few days back, Redmi teased a new performance-focused phone for India, which we speculated to be the Redmi Turbo 5. Now, it has been officially confirmed and will make this the first time a Turbo-branded Redmi phone has launched in India.
Redmi Turbo 5 India Launch to Happen Soon
The official Redmi India website now has a dedicated microsite confirming the arrival of the Redmi Turbo 5 to India. It is being positioned as a top-tier performance mid-ranger with a focus on processor, display, cameras and battery.

Redmi has also shared the design of the smartphone in the Shadow Black colourway and it looks identical to the Chinese variant with the dual floating lens design and red LED pulse light illuminating the camera rings.

While Redmi has not shared any of the phone's specs for India, thanks to the Redmi Turbo 5 launch in China, which happened back in January 2026, we know exactly what the phone brings. Redmi Turbo 5 Price in India (Expected)
In China, the Redmi Turbo 5 starts from 1,999 Chinese Yuan (approximately Rs 26,000). However, in India, there is a possibility the smartphone will launch for under Rs 40,000. At that price, it will go head-to-head with the likes of the Poco X8 Pro and the OnePlus Nord 6.
