Samsung has been hard at work pushing One UI 9 Beta builds and working on expanding the support to more smartphones. But amidst all that, the brand is also prepping to launch new smartphones like the Galaxy S26 FE. However, a latest firmware leak suggests the Galaxy A18 is on the horizon and may launch soon.
Samsung Galaxy A18 Could Arrive in a Few Months
The information arrives courtesy of tech publication SammyGuru, which spotted the Galaxy A18 with the model number SM-A185F on Samsung's European Test servers. The phone carrying model number A185FXXU0AZF2 strongly suggests that Samsung has pretty much finalised the hardware and has moved to the software.

Interestingly, while its predecessor Galaxy A17 recently received the One UI 8.5 update, the Galaxy A18 could ship with One UI 9 features out of the box, making it one of the first budget Samsung phones to arrive with the new update and features.
Unfortunately, the leak doesn't reveal the release timeline of the smartphone. However, considering Samsung launched the Galaxy A17 in August 2025 last year, we expect the Galaxy A18 to launch around the same time, followed by its 5G counterpart later in 2026.
That said, we don't have much information about the phone's key specifications yet. However, rumours suggest the phone could arrive with an Infinity-U AMOLED panel, a 5,000mAh battery and an IP54 rating. It is also expected to feature Samsung's long-term commitment of six years of software updates.
Performance-wise, it could stick to a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset alongside 4 GB of base RAM and 128 GB of storage. That said, industry insiders point toward the A18 arriving at a much higher price than the Galaxy A17 due to the ongoing RAM crisis.
Considering the Galaxy S26 FE also leaked recently, we expect the Galaxy A18 to launch alongside, or at around the same time. More information about the same should arrive as we inch closer to launch, so stay tuned.
