Just a day after an aggressive Galaxy S26 lineup price hike, Samsung has now increased the prices of the Galaxy A36 and A56. The mid-range smartphones are getting more expensive by around Rs 3,000 across their base variants.
Effective starting September 24, 2026, all three variants of the Galaxy A36 and A56 have received a flat Rs 3,000 and Rs 2,000 markup. This pushes the entry-level 8 GB + 128 GB model of the Galaxy A36 up to Rs 36,999 (up from Rs 33,999). Here's a brief price breakdown:

The 8 GB + 256 GB and 12 GB + 256 GB variants of the Galaxy A36 now cost Rs 40,999 and Rs 46,999 (up from Rs 37,999 and 43,499).
Similarly, the base Galaxy A56 now starts at Rs 44,999 (up from Rs 42,999). That's a Rs 2,000 hike, which also applies to the 8 GB + 256 GB and 12 GB + 256 GB variants. These now start at Rs 48,999 and Rs 54,999 (previously Rs 46,999 and Rs 52,999).
This marks the second price increase for the Galaxy A36 and A56, which originally launched at Rs 32,999 and Rs 41,999, respectively. This means the smartphones have seen a whopping Rs 4,000 hike across storage variants since launch.
With back-to-back price inflation affecting everything from premium flagships to mid-range and even budget smartphones, the ongoing RAM crisis is still going strong. In fact, reports suggest it could last through 2029, with no respite in the coming years.
Therefore, to combat RAMaggedon, now is the best time to get the phone before these phones are hit with another price increase.
