Samsung has entered the smart eyewear market with the Samsung Galaxy Glasses. Developed in collaboration with Google and eyewear brands like Warby Parker and Gentle Monster, the smart glasses offer a lightweight design and seamless AI integration to answer questions and capture media on the go.
Samsung Galaxy Glasses Specifications and Features
The Samsung Galaxy Glasses are pretty much like the Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses. The Warby Parker variant features a classic Panto shape with a fully rounded bottom lens portion, paired with a slightly flattened top. Gentle Monster brings two designs, with more coming soon.

The keyhole bridge gives them a distinctly vintage look, while the top right side of the temple houses a customisable button. There are speakers and mics on either side of the temples, with a power on/off switch located on the inner side of the left temple.

Samsung Galaxy Glasses are powered by the Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 processor and leverage the chipset for audio, camera captures and AI tasks. The glasses run on the Android XR platform with Google's Gemini AI assistant onboard.
The AI uses the cameras to analyse surroundings in real time to help out with questions, take pictures, start recording videos and more. Besides, it can also help with turn-by-turn navigation, live speech translation and instant camera sharing during video calls.
Apart from the hands-free voice commands to invoke Gemini, there are touch sensors on the temples to play, pause, skip or forward music. These gestures can be customised and remapped via the Galaxy Glasses companion app. Speaking of which, the Glasses also support gesture controls when paired with the newly launched Galaxy Watch 9.
On the power front, the wearable promises up to 9 hours of battery on a single charge, and the case can charge the glasses to full up to seven times. The glasses snap into the case with the help of magnetic contact points near the nose rests.
Samsung has yet to announce the availability of these glasses in India and globally. However, more information about India availability and price should be revealed soon, so stay tuned.
