Samsung Galaxy M17e 5G Launched in India with 6 Years of Software Updates and 50 MP Camera

While there's a sea of budget 5G phones out there, there are very few out there that can last you for as long as six years. Well, Samsung has been filling that gap with its affordable phones for quite some time now and the new Galaxy M17e 5G is another addition. The Samsung Galaxy M17e 5G has launched in India with a big display, generous battery and 12 5G bands, all for under Rs 15,000.

Samsung Galaxy M17e 5G Specifications and Features

The Samsung Galaxy M17e 5G features a big 6.7-inch HD+ display with a fast 120 Hz refresh rate. This screen is wrapped up in an 8.2mm thick body that is backed by an IP54 rating.

Under the hood, the phone is powered by the Dimensity 6300 chipset, paired with at least 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage.

On the software front, the Samsung Galaxy M17e 5G runs on Android 16-based One UI 8, with Google's Circle to Search and Gemini AI integration. The brand is also promising six years of major OS updates and security patches.

Fueling it all is a big 6,000mAh battery that the brand claims can deliver up to 26 hours of video playback time.

In terms of optics, the Samsung Galaxy M17e 5G features a dual 50 MP primary rear camera lens with a 2 MP depth shooter. At the front, there's an 8 MP selfie shooter to make use of.

Samsung Galaxy M17e 5G Price in India and Sale Date

The Samsung Galaxy M17e 5G has been launched in India for Rs 12,999 for the base variant. Interested buyers can get Rs 1,250 off as part of launch offers, bringing the price down to Rs 11,749.

As for availability, the phone will go on sale in India via Amazon today, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM IST. Interested buyers can purchase it in the Blitz Blue and Vibe Violet colour options.
