Samsung's next "Fan Edition" smartphone, the Galaxy S25 FE is in the works and has been part of the rumour mill for quite some time. Now, a new leak has revealed most of the key details of the smartphone ahead of its 2025 launch.
Fellow tech publication Android Headlines has exclusively shared the details for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S25 FE smartphone. Based on the leaked information, it looks like the Galaxy S25 FE will not be a major upgrade over the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE. Also, surprisingly, it will launch with one major downgrade.
The Galaxy S25 FE is reportedly going to launch with a 4,500mAh battery. This is a 200mAh drop from the Galaxy S24 FE, which featured a 4,700mAh cell. Although nothing has been confirmed as of yet, one reason for this speculated change can be attributed to Samsung's latest "slim" mantra for Galaxy smartphones, especially the "S" series devices.
The only likely respite for the Galaxy S25 FE will feature in terms of 45W wired fast charging compared to S24 FE's 25W. However, the wireless charging speed is reportedly stagnant at 15W.
Apart from this, the Galaxy S25 FE is speculated to feature a 6.7-inch 120 Hz Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. This is similar to what the Galaxy S24 FE offers.
Under the hood, the smartphone is expected to feature the Samsung Exynos 2400 chipset, paired with 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of storage. It is expected to ship with One UI 8 based on Android 16 out of the box.
Optics wise, the Galaxy S25 FE will also feature a triple rear camera setup with a 50 MP main OIS and autofocus sensor, a 12 MP ultra-wide angle lens and an 8 MP 3x telephoto camera with OIS. This is the exact same setup that the S24 FE offers.
However, the selfie camera is said to feature a 12 MP sensor, compared to the 10 MP sensor offered by the S24 FE. Other than that, the device is expected to be slim at 7.4mm and weigh only 190 grams. It will also reportedly feature an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
With that said, since these are all speculated details, we cannot guarantee its accuracy. However, since the Galaxy S25 FE is expected to arrive by late September 2025, we won't have to wait for long to know the details for sure.
