Samsung will soon launch the Galaxy S26 series. The brand is yet to officially start teasing the lineup. However, leaks and rumours over the past few months have given us a good idea of what to expect. Now, the upcoming phones have appeared on the BIS certification website and an official launch doesn't seem too far away.
Galaxy S26 BIS listing hints at an imminent launch
Reliable tipster Debayan Roy was the first to spot the BIS certification listing of the Galaxy S26 and the Galaxy S26 Ultra. While these are the usual expected suspects, the leaker also spotted a smartphone with the SM-S947 SKU. It is believed to be the Galaxy S26 Edge.

For context, the Galaxy S25 Edge bore the SM-S937 model number. So, going by that, the SM-S947 identifier could only belong to the Galaxy S26 Edge. This strongly hints at the fact that reports about Samsung not cancelling the Galaxy S26 Edge are true.
Moreover, the leaker points out that the Galaxy S26+, which should carry the SM-S946 model number, has not yet been listed on the BIS website. So, based on that, there could be two possible explanations.

First, it could be that since the Galaxy S26+ came a lot later into the picture, it has not been able to clear the certification listing yet. However, this could also mean that we might not get a Plus variant after all. Samsung could launch the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Edge and the Galaxy S26 Ultra in February 2026.
That said, at the time of writing, this is a speculation and should be taken with a hint of salt. The Galaxy S26 series has already managed to create a lot of confusion online. So, it is best to wait for an official confirmation before believing anything.
