Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Tab S12+ has appeared on India's BIS certification website, confirming the tablet's existence. Meanwhile, a live image of the tablet has also surfaced online, giving us our first look at its design.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S12+ BIS Listing Spotted
Spotted first by 91Mobiles, the Galaxy Tab S12+ has surfaced on the Bureau of Indian Standards, carrying the model numbers SM-X840 and SM-X846B. These identifiers correspond to the tablet's Wi-Fi-only and 5G variants for the Indian market. As per the listing, the tablet was granted clearance on July 6, 2026.

While the regulatory appearance doesn't reveal much about the tablet or its key specifications, its presence indicates that the Tab S12 series launch is imminent.
Apart from this, folks over at Sammy Guru spotted the tablet on the Safety Korea database with similar model numbers, SM-X840 and SM-X846N. Here, the "N" indicates it's the Korean variant of the tablet. This listing also includes a live photo of the Tab S12+, revealing its design from the front.

While the tablet is turned off in the image, its uniform bezels are clearly visible, with the front-facing selfie camera integrated into the topmost bezel. This also suggests that the vanilla Tab S12 variants will yet again stick to uniform bezels, while the notched design could be exclusive to the Tab S12 Ultra.
While we're unaware of the core specifications, the Galaxy Tab S12 series could arrive with a Dimensity 9500+ processor, up to 12 GB of RAM and AMOLED 2X displays. The Galaxy Tab S12+'s return is surprising considering Samsung skipped the Galaxy Tab S11+.
With the testing underway, it's clear that the Galaxy Tab S12 series is inching closer to launch. Samsung's tablet launch cadence indicates that the tablets could launch at the September 2027 Galaxy Unpacked event. Right now, all eyes are on the Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event on July 22, 2026, where the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series and Z Flip 8 will go official.
