Samsung has finally confirmed the date for its much-awaited Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event. The event will bring the company's next-generation foldables, including the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip 8, alongside the new Galaxy Watch 5 lineup.
Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2026 Date Revealed
The official Samsung X account has finally revealed that the next major Galaxy Unpacked event is all locked in for July 22, 2026, at 6:30 PM IST. This falls in line with what many rumours have previously suggested. The teaser itself is hiding two smartphones, most likely the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.

The video shared by Samsung in the teaser contains what looks like a ticket to the event being printed. Its initial shape resembles that of the Z Fold 8 Ultra's form factor. However, it then tears at the top, leaving a large bottom portion of the paper that resembles the form factor of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 (Wide).
This year's foldable lineup will be a great shift for Samsung, with a complete restructuring of Samsung's foldable division. Rumours suggest the standard Z Fold 8 is being renamed to Z Fold 8 Ultra, and the Wide foldable is taking on the standard Z Fold 8 moniker. That said, the Z Flip 8 is also expected to debut at the event.
Besides foldables, Samsung is also expected to reveal its next-generation Galaxy smartwatches, the Galaxy Watch 9 series and the Ultra 2. While key details about the smartwatches remain under wraps, there have been rumours that the Galaxy Watch 9 and Ultra 2 chipsets will be upgraded to the Snapdragon Wear Elite.
Lastly, with the South Korean giant closely working with Google on Android XR, the Samsung Glasses app leaked recently with One UI XR on top. While we don't expect Samsung to reveal the glasses during the event, the brand should give us a sneak peek at the upcoming glasses.
More details about the upcoming devices should be revealed during the July 22, 2026, launch, so stay tuned!
