Back in July 2025, Samsung announced the much awaited Galaxy Z Fold 7 alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 7. The book-style foldable became an instant hit thanks to the changes and upgrades it brought to the table. Now, after almost three months later, the craze for the Samsung foldable is nowhere near ending.
As per the South Korean tech publication The Elec, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 is the most popular book-style foldable from the brand yet. It has been so much in demand that Samsung had to produce extra units of the smartphone in August and is said to do the same in September as well.

The publication claims that Samsung is looking to produce 2,60,000 fresh units in September 2025 alone. For context, the brand produced 1,00,000 units back in August 2025. Hence, this time around, the brand has faced a demand jump of 160% from last month. This means that the brand is on track to exceed the initial expected shipment of 2.4 million units of the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
A large part of this surge in jump is due to the Galaxy Z Fold 7's changes and features. For starters, this is Samsung's slimmest book-style foldable yet with a mere 4.2mm of thickness when unfolded and 8.9mm of thickness when folded. It is also lightweight at 215 grams.

It also brings a large 8-inch foldable display along with a 200 MP main camera sensor and the Snapdragon 8 Elite at the helm. Apart from this, it also features the following specifications:
- 8-inch QXGA+ 120 Hz LTPO Dynamic AMOLED 2X foldable display
- 6.5-inch Full HD+ 120 Hz LTPO Dynamic AMOLED 2X outer screen
- Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy
- Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 protection, Armor FlexHinge
- 200 MP main camera, 12 MP ultra-wide angle camera and 10 MP 3x periscope telephoto lens
- One UI 8 based on Android 16
- 4,400mAh battery, 25W USB-C charging, 15W wireless charging
- 7 years of software and security upgrades
- IP48 rating
