Back in September 2025, the Sony WH-1000XM6 launched in India as the brand's latest flagship pair of wireless headphones in the 1000XM series. It was introduced in four colour options and now Sony has added a Sandstone option to the mix for versatility and choice.
Sony WH-1000XM6 Price in India and Availability
The Sony WH-1000XM6 Sandstone colour option costs Rs 49,999, same as the Sand Pink, Midnight Blue, Black and Platinum Silver colourways. It launched in India for Rs 39,990 and has received a price hike since then.
The headphones are available to purchase from the official Sony India website and Amazon India. It is also available across partner retail outlets like Croma, Vijay Sales, Reliance Digital and more.
Sony WH-1000XM6 Specifications and Features
The Sony WH-1000XM6 is the sixth generation of 1000XM series headphones and feature the flagship HD Noise Cancelling QN3 processor. It is paired with a total of 12 microphones and feature LDAC 5 codec to push up to 32-bit 990kbps lossless audio via Bluetooth.
The WH-1000XM6 also brings refined 40mm drivers which have been master tuned and are combined with a carbon fibre dome for studio grade quality. It also comes with Sony's AI-powered DSEE Extreme technology to upscale compressed music. The brand also claims improved call clarity using a six-mic AI beamforming system.
There is also 360° Spatial Audio and a dedicated gaming EQ from Sony's Inzone gaming headset to reduce latency. It also gets a dedicated mute switch, better touch and controls for switching between noise cancellation modes and up to 40 hours of payback time with ANC off.
