Tecno has silently listed two new smartphones on their Kenyan website – the Tecno Camon 50 and Tecno Camon 50 Pro. Both phones bring a big and fast AMOLED display, a 50 MP main camera and a Helio series MediaTek processor.
Tecno Camon 50 and Camon 50 Pro Specifications and Features
The newly launched Tecno Camon 50 and Tecno Camon 50 Pro share almost identical specs across the board, except for subtle differences. For instance, both feature the same 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144 Hz refresh rate. However, the panel on the Camon 50 is flat while the Camon 50 Pro gets a quad-curved display.
Under the hood, both phones get the mid-range Helio G200 Ultimate processor, paired with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Software-wise, they both ship with Tecno's HiOS 16 based on Android 16.
In terms of cameras, both the Camon 50 and Camon 50 Pro feature a 50 MP Sony LYT-700C main camera and an 8 MP ultra-wide angle lens. However, only the Pro model also brings a 50 MP 3x 70mm telephoto camera.
Battery-wise, both phones get a 6,150mAh capacity with support for 45W fast USB-C charging. They also bring comprehensive IP68 + IP69 + IP69K dust and water protection ratings.
As for their price, Tecno Camon 50 starts from $290 (approximately Rs 26,500), while the Camon 50 Pro will retail from $341 (approximately Rs 31,000). There is no word as to when the Camon 50 series will be available for purchase. Interested folks will be able to score the phones in Moonlight Black, Malachite Green, Nebula Titanium, Fir Green, Lavender Mist and Mint Cream colourways. The Camon 50 Pro also gets an additional Ethereal Blue option.
