However, it comes with compromises like a poorly optimised software experience, inconsistent cameras, and a hefty build. If you’re looking for raw performance and gaming is what you do in the sub-Rs 30,000 segment, the Poco F7 is a compelling choice.

The OnePlus 13R proves it still has plenty going for it even months after launch. With top-tier performance, excellent battery life, fast charging and a polished OxygenOS experience, it remains a reliable daily driver. While its cameras aren't class-leading in low-light, the strong daylight performance and a useful telephoto lens make it a well-rounded, good-value phone in the segment.

The OnePlus Nord 5 is one of the most balanced mid-range phones around the Rs 30,000 price point. It is fast, sleek, performant, and boasts great battery life while offering one of the best software experiences. However, it achieves this by making clear sacrifices as key downgrades in the design, ultrawide performance and sound and haptics. All of this makes Nord 5 fall a step short of today’s semi-flagship devices.

The Poco X8 Pro continues the series tradition of delivering exceptional performance but with some much-needed upgrades. It now comes in an aluminium and glass chassis, with a water-resistant build, stunning display, large vapour chamber, improved HyperOS 3 experience and 100W fast charging. While the cameras are a let-down, it was never a highlight of this Poco series. So, if gaming is all that you crave, the Poco X8 Pro wouldn't be a let down for you.

The design also looks quite good but the phone can get warm easily during demanding tasks. Moreover, the OS experience is also not top-notch because of the amount of bloatware but that would be asking too much.

However, the ultrawide camera is only decent and the software hasn’t been Vivo’s strongest suit due to bloatware. Overall, T4 Ultra is an ideal device for those who need processing power and camera zoom, something that most phones in this segment miss out on when prioritizing one over the other.

Oppo has stepped into the gaming phone segment with the K13 Turbo Pro. With a flashy design and slim build, the phone does give strong gaming vibes, while the powerful chipset handles demanding games with steady performance. The built-in cooling fan helps keep the temperatures under control during long sessions. Battery easily lasts a full day and charging is quick enough to get back to game faster. The main camera does impress but the absence of an ultra-wide lens limits flexibility. Ultimately, its higher pricing makes the overall value hard to justify.
