The Realme GT 7 packs the right goodies like a high-end chipset, all-around cameras, a pretty good battery life with really fast charging speeds. If we’re to nitpick, thermal management and ultrawide shots could have been better but that’s asking too much from an otherwise well-packaged phone in the segment.

The Poco F7 stays true to the flagship killer spirit with a bold design, bright OLED display, excellent performance and 90W fast charging. However, it comes with compromises like a poorly optimised software experience, inconsistent cameras, and a hefty build. If you’re looking for raw performance and gaming is what you do in the sub-Rs 30,000 segment, the Poco F7 is a compelling choice.

The OnePlus Nord 5 is one of the most balanced mid-range phones around the Rs 30,000 price point. It is fast, sleek, performant, and boasts great battery life while offering one of the best software experiences. However, it achieves this by making clear sacrifices as key downgrades in the design, ultrawide performance and sound and haptics. All of this makes Nord 5 fall a step short of today’s semi-flagship devices.

The Poco X8 Pro continues the series tradition of delivering exceptional performance but with some much-needed upgrades. It now comes in an aluminium and glass chassis, with a water-resistant build, stunning display, large vapour chamber, improved HyperOS 3 experience and 100W fast charging. While the cameras are a let-down, it was never a highlight of this Poco series. So, if gaming is all that you crave, the Poco X8 Pro wouldn't be a let down for you.

While the increase in price and lack of a telephoto lens do hamper the experience, they are, by no means, a deal breaker. It is easily one of the better smartphones to go for under Rs 40,000.
