Best Gaming Mobile Phones Under 40000

The Realme GT 7 packs the right goodies like a high-end chipset, all-around cameras, a pretty good battery life with really fast charging speeds. If we’re to nitpick, thermal management and ultrawide shots could have been better but that’s asking too much from an otherwise well-packaged phone in the segment.

The Poco F7 stays true to the flagship killer spirit with a bold design, bright OLED display, excellent performance and 90W fast charging. However, it comes with compromises like a poorly optimised software experience, inconsistent cameras, and a hefty build. If you’re looking for raw performance and gaming is what you do in the sub-Rs 30,000 segment, the Poco F7 is a compelling choice.

The OnePlus 13R proves it still has plenty going for it even months after launch. With top-tier performance, excellent battery life, fast charging and a polished OxygenOS experience, it remains a reliable daily driver. While its cameras aren't class-leading in low-light, the strong daylight performance and a useful telephoto lens make it a well-rounded, good-value phone in the segment.

The OnePlus Nord 6 is a performance-focused mid-range phone that excels where it matters the most. The chipset handles everything effortlessly and the display is among the smoothest and sharpest in the segment. The battery life comfortably stretches to two days, while the software feels clean, fluid, and future-proof. Trade-offs include a weak ultra-wide camera and a hefty build but for raw performance and battery endurance, the OnePlus Nord 6 is simply hard to beat at this price.

The OnePlus Nord 5 is one of the most balanced mid-range phones around the Rs 30,000 price point. It is fast, sleek, performant, and boasts great battery life while offering one of the best software experiences. However, it achieves this by making clear sacrifices as key downgrades in the design, ultrawide performance and sound and haptics. All of this makes Nord 5 fall a step short of today’s semi-flagship devices.

The Poco X8 Pro continues the series tradition of delivering exceptional performance but with some much-needed upgrades. It now comes in an aluminium and glass chassis, with a water-resistant build, stunning display, large vapour chamber, improved HyperOS 3 experience and 100W fast charging. While the cameras are a let-down, it was never a highlight of this Poco series. So, if gaming is all that you crave, the Poco X8 Pro wouldn't be a let down for you.

The OPPO Reno14 delivers a premium experience with flagship-like features at a cost-effective price. It offers standout build quality, an excellent camera setup, and solid battery with fast charging. Reno 14 brings decent performance too, but the chipset does tend to get hot under heavy gaming. Some users might not like the excess bloatware in the UI, but the overall experience is pretty solid for the price.

With the Reno 13, Oppo is offering a mid-range phone that you can rely on. It works smoothly, takes stellar photos and does so consistently for a day and then some. It ticks all the right boxes for a premium phone but asks a steep price for what it delivers. Moreover, the OS experience is also not top-notch because of the amount of bloatware but that would be asking too much.

The Vivo T4 Ultra is a specialist phone that excels in performance and zoom photography, thanks to the Dimensity 9300+ and 50 MP periscope camera, respectively. However, the ultrawide camera is only decent and the software hasn’t been Vivo’s strongest suit due to bloatware. Overall, T4 Ultra is an ideal device for those who need processing power and camera zoom, something that most phones in this segment miss out on when prioritizing one over the other.

Oppo has stepped into the gaming phone segment with the K13 Turbo Pro. With a flashy design and slim build, the phone does give strong gaming vibes, while the powerful chipset handles demanding games with steady performance. The built-in cooling fan helps keep the temperatures under control during long sessions. Battery easily lasts a full day and charging is quick enough to get back to game faster. The main camera does impress but the absence of an ultra-wide lens limits flexibility. Ultimately, its higher pricing makes the overall value hard to justify.
