The Tecno Camon 50 Ultra has launched in India as the brand's latest camera-focused mid-ranger. Apart from cameras, the phone also packs a stunning curved AMOLED display, a generous battery capacity and solid durability.

The Camon 50 Ultra's headline feature is its triple-camera system. The primary sensor is a 50 MP Sony LYT-700C unit with Optical Image Stabilisation, using a relatively large 1/1.56-inch sensor size to pull in more light for better low-light shots. It's joined by a 50 MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom for portraits and distant subjects, and an 8 MP ultrawide for broader shots. Up front, the Tecno Camon 50 Ultra sports a 13 MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture, capable of capturing 4K @ 30 FPS videos.
On the software side, Tecno has added AI 100x SuperZoom and Super-Zoom FlashSnap, both aimed at keeping distant subjects stable and clear at high magnification. The camera app also gets Live Photo support and a dedicated Underwater Photography mode.
Up front is a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, capable of hitting up to 4,500 nits of peak brightness. It uses 2304Hz PWM dimming to reduce flicker, is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, and includes ProXDR eye-care technology for extended usage.
Audio is handled by stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio support, along with dual microphones.
Talking about the phone's design, Tecno is calling this its "Silk-Flow" design language. The phone measures 162.37 x 76.97 x 7.75 mm and comes in Cypress Green, Misty Purple, and Nebula Titanium colourways.
The Tecno Camon 50 Ultra runs on the Dimensity 7400 Ultimate, a 4nm chipset clocked up to 2.6GHz with a Mali-G615 MC2 GPU, paired with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
Fueling it all is a 6,500mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. Tecno has also leaned heavily into ruggedness here, with the phone carrying IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, along with MIL-STD-810 military-grade certification.
The Tecno Camon 50 Ultra ships with Android 16 running Tecno's HiOS 16 on top. The phone comes loaded with Tecno's AI suite, which includes an upgraded Ella smart assistant, an AI Image-to-Video generator, 3D PhotoSpace, and AI LightMaster 2.0 for smarter photo and video editing.
On the connectivity front, the Tecno Camon 50 Ultra 5G supports 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.4, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, USB Type-C, and NFC.
