Summary

  • The Vivo V60 has been tipped to launch in India on August 19, 2025.
  • It is said to debut alongside Android 16-based OriginOS.
  • Key specs could include the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4S chipset and a 6,500mAh battery.

Vivo is most likely gearing up to launch its V60 in India soon. A new leak has now surfaced online, revealing the India launch date of the upcoming smartphone.

Thanks to tipster Abhishek Yadav, we get to know that the Vivo V60 will launch in India on August 19, 2025. However, that's not all. The tipster also revealed that Vivo's OriginOS will not be limited to China anymore and will launch in India too alongside the V60.

This will be a first in the subcontinent, as both Vivo and iQOO devices here run on Funtouch OS. A comparison is often drawn between the two, with OriginOS often applauded for being more feature-rich and aesthetic.

However, nothing else is known at the moment. But leaks and reports do suggest the Vivo V60 to be a rebrand of the China-exclusive Vivo S30. If that is indeed true, we can draw a couple of assumptions about the V60's specifications:

  • 6.67-inch 1.5K 120 Hz AMOLED display
  • Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC
  • Up to 16 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 512 GB of UFS 2.2 storage
  • 50 MP Sony LYT-700V primary sensor, 50 MP IMX882 periscope telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom, 8 MP ultra-wide lens
  • 50 MP selfie shooter
  • 6,500mAh battery with 90W fast charging
  • Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, Infrared sensor

Since there's over a month to go for the phone to launch, going by the latest leak, we are expecting to hear official details from the brand soon. So, stay tuned to know of it all as and when we do.
