Vivo's months of testing OriginOS 7 are finally bearing fruit, as Vivo X300 series smartphones are moving to stable. Users of the Vivo X300, X300 Pro and X300 FE in India are now receiving the release candidate for the stable OriginOS 7 update.
User MdRockz from the Vivo Community posted a screenshot of the OriginOS 7 stable OTA waiting to be installed on their Vivo X300 FE. The massive 4.78 GB release candidate carries the build number PD2527MF_EX_A_17.1.5.5.W30.

A handful of Vivo X300 and Vivo X300 Pro users in the community and on X have also reported receiving the update with a 5.35 GB update size and build numbers PD2509F_EX_A_17.1.5.5.W30 and PD2502BF_EX_A_17.1.5.5.W30, respectively.
Vivo recommends having at least 8 GB of reserve storage, charging the battery to at least 50% and connecting to a stable network for smoother OriginOS 7 onboarding.

Since it's a generational upgrade, it packs a massive changelog. Starting with some of the OriginOS 7 features like Origin Workbench, which supports running up to five apps at once for multitasking.
The improved animation engine brings better animations and reduces lag and jitter during heavy usage. On the AI front, there's AI Call Answering assistant, Smart Screenshot recognition and an AI Cross-App Drag feature that instantly extracts text and translation.

Additional improvements include battery optimisations, dynamic icon lighting shifts and enhanced lock screen customisations.
Since this is an early release candidate, users might experience system bugs. Therefore, those looking for a slightly more stable OriginOS 7 experience might have to wait this one out. A stable build for the masses should roll out in a few weeks if everything goes right.
However, those eager to try OriginOS 7 stable and its new features can go to Settings -> About Phone -> System updates and check for updates in the Trial version menu.
With the X300 series out of the way, Vivo can shift its focus to other OriginOS 7-supported devices, including the older X200 series and mid-range smartphones like the V70 series.
