Back in February 2026, Vivo released an affordable 4G phone in Malaysia. The Vivo Y05 went official in the country for less than Rs 10,000 and it looks like the same smartphone is headed towards India, but at a slightly higher price point.
Vivo Y05 Price in India Could Start at Under Rs 15,000
A new leak from tipster Ahsan has revealed via X that Vivo is planning to launch the affordable Vivo Y05 in India, starting at Rs 12,999. It is said to arrive with base 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage.
One of the key highlighting features of the phone is said to be its massive 6,500mAh battery. However, the post mentions only 15W USB-C charging. At the front, the phone is said to bring a 6.74-inch LCD panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate and HD+ resolution.
For performance, the Vivo Y05 is reportedly going to depend on the Unisoc T7225 processor. Apart from that, the phone is said to ship with OriginOS 6 update based on Android 16 out of the box. It is important to note that the said to be used Unisoc processor doesn't support 5G connectivity. Hence, it is highly likely that Vivo Y05 will launch as a 4G phone.
