Vivo has started teasing the arrival of its next "V" series smartphone in China, the Vivo Y500. The device will succeed the Y300 which broke cover in the region back in December 2024. There is also a Vivo Y400 5G but that smartphone did not see a China launch.
The official Vivo handle on Weibo posted the Y500 teaser image with the "a long-lasting, durable, and powerful phone" tagline. Vivo claims that this new Y series smartphone is a product born out of its constant initiative to consider consumer feedback and incorporate the same.
It promises to eliminate the known pain-points that were existent with the previous generations. Apart from this, we do not get to know about the core specifications of device at the time of writing.

However, the teaser post does contain an obscured glimpse into the smartphone's back design, especially the camera module. It seems like the smartphone will feature a small circular centre-placed camera deco.
At first glance, it resembles the Vivo X200 Pro Mini a lot. However, at this time, we don't know how many cameras the circular island will house. Apart from this, the smartphone appears to have a flat profile with rounded edges.
With that said, no other details are known about the smartphone at the time of writing. However, since this is the first official teaser of the smartphone, we expect more details to surface soon.
