Vivo has silently launched two new smartphones in China – Vivo Y50e 5G and Vivo Y50s 5G. Both phones are equipped with a big LCD display, a mid-range MediaTek chip and a substantially large battery. Here is a detailed breakdown of their specifications, pricing and availability information.
Vivo Y50e 5G and Y50s 5G Specifications and Features
The newly launched Vivo Y50e 5G and the Vivo Y50s 5G share almost identical specs in every department. For instance, both phones sport a 6.74-inch flat LCD display with an HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The panel is rated for up to 1,000 nits of brightness and is TUV Rheinland certified for low blue light.
Under the hood, they both run on the Dimensity 6300 chipset, topped with LPDDR4x RAM. However, they differ in the storage type. While the Y50s 5G gains UFS 2.2 storage, the Y50e tones it down with eMMC5.1 storage generation.
Both phones support up to 2 TB micro-SD card expansion. Software-wise, Vivo has shipped both phones with OriginOS 5 based on Android 15.
