Now, WhatsApp has officially rolled out its native CarPlay app for iPhones, bringing a major upgrade to in-car messaging experience. With the latest iOS update, users can now access chats, calls and key contacts directly from the CarPlay dashboard.

Previously, WhatsApp's CarPlay functionality was limited to Siri voice commands, which restricted how users could interact with chats while driving. Now, with the new update, the platform offers a dedicated interface within CarPlay to provide a safer and more seamless messaging experience on the road.
The new CarPlay app enables users to view recent chats, access call history and quickly reach favourite contacts. Messages can be read aloud with Siri, while users can respond using voice dictation, ensuring minimal distraction while driving. WhatsApp has also designed the interface to be simple and uncluttered, aligning with Apple's safety-focused approach for in-car apps.
In addition, the integration also extends to WhatsApp calls, allowing users to initiate and receive calls directly via CarPlay. This makes it easier for drivers to stay connected without needing to pick up their phones.
The native WhatsApp CarPlay app for Apple iPhones is rolling out as a server-side update and will gradually become available to all users worldwide. Users can head over to the App Store to check for the update.
