After months of leaks, teasers and updates, the Xiaomi 15T and the Xiaomi 15T Pro are finally official. Both smartphones were unveiled at a dedicated Xiaomi event today and bring some standout features like Leica cameras, AMOLED displays and more. Here is a detailed specification, pricing and availability breakdown on the brand-new Xiaomi smartphones.

Xiaomi 15T Series brings a professional Leica camera experience

One of the biggest highlights this year with the Xiaomi 15T and the Xiaomi 15T Pro is their cameras. Both smartphones from Xiaomi feature the Leica Summilux lens with a triple camera setup. However, there are noticeable differences between them.

For instance, the 15T Pro features a 50 MP Light Fusion 900 main sensor, while the 15T gets a 50 MP Light Fusion 800 main camera. Even the telephoto lens on the 15T Pro is better with a 50 MP 5x Leica Pro periscope telephoto module and OIS support. Meanwhile, the standard 15T gets a regular 50 MP Leica telephoto module.

Both smartphones feature the same 12 MP ultra-wide angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture. They even share the same 32 MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture.

However, the Xiaomi 15T Pro takes the lead when it comes to video, with 8K @ 30 FPS shooting support. Meanwhile, the 15T can record only up to 4K @ 60 FPS footages.

At the front, both phones are equipped with a 6.83-inch 1.5K 144Hz 12-bit AMOLED display with up to Dolby Vision video playback and up to 3,200 nits of peak brightness. Xiaomi is using Gorilla Glass 7i to protect the 15T series panel.

Additionally, the brand is using LIPO (Low-Injection Pressure Over-molding) technology to bring the display bezel down to only 1.5mm. The devices are further encased within a 7.5mm thick chassis (7.9mm for the Pro) and weigh only 194 grams (204 grams on the Pro).

Now, coming to performance, the 15T Pro is fuelled by the "plus" variant of the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 processor, while the standard 15T draws its power from the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultra chipset. Both phones offer 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.1 storage.

Additionally, the Xiaomi 15T series is also equipped with a new Xiaomi T1S chip for better wireless connectivity. It features a new no-network communication, which can ping nearby devices via Bluetooth to communicate with them. Both phones ship with Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, GPS, NFC, dual SIM 5G and more.

Software-wise, the devices ship with Xiaomi HyperOS 2 based on Android 15. The brand has confirmed that the 15T series will become the first pair of smartphones to receive the newly announced HyperOS 3 update based on Android 16. It brings several new AI features like AI Writing, AI Speech Recognition, AI Dynamic Wallpapers and more.

Talking about the battery capacity, both phones offer a 5,500mAh cell with up to 90W (67W on the standard 15T) fast USB-C charging support. The 15T Pro even features 50W wireless charging support.

Apart from this, with the Xiaomi 15T lineup, users also get an in-display fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, an infrared sensor and a USB-C 2.0 port.

Lastly, talking about their pricing, the Xiaomi 15T will retail from 649.99 euros (approximately Rs 67,800) for the 12 GB + 256 GB model. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 15T Pro will be available starting from 799.99 euros (approximately Rs 83,400). Interested folks can purchase the smartphones in the Black, Grey and Mocha Gold options.

While India availability is under wraps, there's very little hope for these devices to make it here, given the track record.
