After much anticipation, Xiaomi has finally launched the Xiaomi 17 in India. This is the brand's newest compact flagship and it competes with the likes of the Vivo X300 and Oppo Find X9, with Leica cameras, a flagship processor and a massive battery.
Xiaomi 17 Specifications and Features
Starting with the design, the Xiaomi 17 brings refinements over the Xiaomi 15, keeping the core elements intact. For instance, it retains the top-left corner squircle camera deco from the last-gen model. However, each lens now has a floating design instead of a continuous glass cover.
The back glass is also cold sculpted, infusing the camera deco seamlessly for a continuous finish. Also, instead of a quad-curved display, Xiaomi 17 comes with a flat 6.3-inch panel. It uses LIPO (Low-Injection Pressure Over-moulding) technology to bring the display bezel down to only 1.18mm. The phone is only 8.06mm thick and weighs 191 grams.
All in all, Xiaomi 17 bring a flagship-level design to a compact phone. It also retains the Leica camera branding and now features Leica Summilux lenses with Xiaomi AISP 2.0 computational photography algorithms.

Coming to pricing, Xiaomi 17 starts in India from Rs 89,999 for the base 12 GB + 256 GB configuration. Meanwhile, the 12 GB + 512 GB variant is priced at Rs 99,999. However, interested buyers can get the 512 GB phone for the price of the 256 GB model, thanks to an early bird offer running from March 13 to March 17, 2026.
