Xiaomi 17 Ultra Global Variant Spotted in the Wild Ahead of Launch

Back in December 2025, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra went official in China. It is yet to launch in global markets like the USA and India and fans have been waiting for an official launch confirmation. Ahead of that, the alleged global unit has emerged online revealing a bit of the design.

Xiaomi 17 Ultra global variant design out

Tipster Abhishek Yadav's latest X post shows the top half of what he claims to be the global unit of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. It bears the 2512BPNDAG model number and appears to be in the Xiaomi Beige colourway.

At first glance, there doesn't appear to be any difference in design between the global variant and the China launch unit. It bears the same Leica branding at the top left corner and the large circular triple camera deco at the top centre.

Also, just like the Xiaomi 17 Ultra in China, the global variant will also bring the new 50 MP 1-inch Omnivision OV50X main camera and the Leica APO-certified 200 MP 5x periscope telephoto lens.

As for the other details, the leaker has not shared the complete look of the phone. We expect it to retain the same CMF and design elements as the China model. However, it is important to note that this is the regular Xiaomi 17 Ultra. There is also a Xiaomi and Leica co-created Xiaomi 17 Ultra, which is unfortunately China-exclusive.

Hence, markets like India and the USA will only get to experience the regular variant of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. It is expected to launch with the following specifications:

That said, Xiaomi is expected to unveil the global model of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra at the 2026 Mobile World Congress (MWC) scheduled for March. It should arrive to India shortly after that.
