Xiaomi has officially unveiled the Xiaomi Clip open-ear TWS, bringing a new product category to its growing audio portfolio. It follows a clip-style design which meant to fit around the ear, unlike a conventional TWS earbud.
Xiaomi Clip Open-Ear Earbuds Specifications and Features
Unlike traditional in-ear earbuds, the Xiaomi Clip feature an open-ear clip-on design that rests on the outer ear, allowing users to stay aware of their surroundings while listening to music or taking calls. It uses a flexible memory titanium C-bridge that adapts to different ear shapes and connects the audio unit to the battery unit at the back.
The earbuds feature 11mm dynamic drivers, which use a microcrystalline metal-coated diaphragm, bringing sound frequencies from 20 Hz to 48 kHz. It comes with LHDC 5.0 codec support and Hi-Res Wireless audio certification.

They are also lightweight at 5.5 grams, making it comfortable to wear all day long. For calls, the earbuds use a three-microphone setup along with a VPU bone-conduction microphone to deliver crisp call clarity even though the Xiaomi Clip lacks silicone ear tips. Xiaomi has also equipped the TWS with a directional acoustic structure which uses reversed sound waves to counter audio leakage, create a close to ANC seal and bring environmental awareness.
The earbuds are also support XiaoAI for natural conversations and real-time AI translations. For connectivity, it uses Bluetooth 5.4 and has dual-device pairing and Google Fast Pair support. They are even part of Xiaomi's connected ecosystem which means the Xiaomi Clip is compatible with Apple's Find My app and can connect to iPhones seamlessly.
As for battery, each earbud houses a 60mAh cell and can deliver up to 9 hours of playback time. Paired with the 510mAh battery inside the charging case, they can stretch up to 38 hours on a single charge. It also comes with fast charging, meaning a 10 minute charge can deliver up to 4 hours of playback time. The earbuds are also IP57 rated.
Lastly, in terms of pricing, the Xiaomi Clip open-ear earbuds cost 849 Chinese yuan (approximately Rs 12,000) and come in Obsidian Black, Parrot Purple, Pearl White and Satin Gold colour options. It joins the recently launched Xiaomi 17 Max and the Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro.
