Xiaomi's sub-brand Mijia has kickstarted its India journey by launching two new smart air purifiers – the Mijia Smart Air Purifier 6 and 4 Compact. These are meant to tackle indoor air pollution with varying capacities, catering to different room sizes and budgets.
Mijia Smart Air Purifier 6 and 4 Compact Specifications and Features
At the higher end of the spectrum, the Mijia Smart Air Purifier 6 is built for large living spaces up to 940 sq. ft. It boasts a powerful particle CADR of 443m³/h and relies on an advanced five-layer filtration mechanism.
It combines a primary filter and a high-efficiency Xiaomi filter with activated carbon, UVC sterilisation and a continuous negative ion generator to neutralise everything from PM2.5 particles to airborne bacteria.
Besides, to interface with the purifier, users get a built-in LCD screen that displays real-time air quality metrics gathered by five independent sensors tracking PM1, dust, PM2.5, temperature, and humidity.
The Air Purifier 6 also has a sleep mode where it reduces the sound to 32dB, and it takes up to 40W of power to function.
Coming to the Mijia Air Purifier 4 Compact, it covers areas up to 400 sq. ft. and cleans at a CADR of 230m³/h. This air purifier utilises a three-stage filtration setup to capture microscopic pollutants, pet dander, and household odours.
It is also stealthy and is rated to operate at 20dB during Sleep Mode to ensure it doesn't run loudly and disturb users when sleeping.
The purifier uses a brushless DC motor and consumes up to 27W of power. It has an easily replaceable filter that pulls out with a little twist. The compact design ensures users can easily place it on a coffee table or somewhere it can blend in with the environment.
Both air purifiers integrate with the Xiaomi Home app, which can help users monitor filter health, check air quality and schedule routines remotely. They also support voice commands via Alexa and Google Home, adding greater convenience to the home ecosystem, especially for those with hands deep in the Xiaomi smartphone ecosystem.
