Xiaomi is allegedly looking to add a new member to its Android tablet portfolio, the Xiaomi Tab Mini. It is expected to be a compact, performance-focused offering from the brand, slated to launch as early as September 2025.
X user F10Dfjtu posted an image allegedly claiming it to be the upcoming Xiaomi Pad Mini. This is the first time we have heard of the device's existence. Xiaomi is yet to confirm any detail from their end. However, we can expect the tablet to make its debut alongside the Xiaomi 15T, set to launch on September 24, 2025.

At first glance, the upcoming Pad Mini appears to bear a compact form factor and an exactly similar design language as that of the recently launched Redmi K Pad in China.
This could mean that the yet-to-be-launched Xiaomi tablet will be a rebranded Redmi K Pad, but for the global audience. To recall, the Redmi K Pad has remained exclusive to China since the day of launch.

Now, while the Xiaomi Pad Mini details are yet to surface, since the Redmi K Pad has already launched in China, we can expect the device to bear the following set of specifications:
- 8.8-inch 3K 165 Hz LCD display in the 16:10 aspect ratio.
- Gorilla Glass 5 protection
- MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ processor
- 13 MP rear camera and 8 MP front camera
- 7,500mAh battery with 67W fast USB-C charging
- Stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4 and USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port.
That said, since none of the above details are officially confirmed, take them with a pinch of salt. The Xiaomi Pad Mini could become the first Android tablet from the brand to ship with Android 16-based Xiaomi HyperOS 3. We will know for sure once the device is officially announced shortly.
