Xiaomi has stepped into the smart tracking space with the launch of the Xiaomi Tag, a compact Bluetooth tracker designed to help users keep tabs on everyday essentials like keys, wallets and bags. The Xiaomi Tag has gone official as a direct rival to the Apple AirTag and offers compatibility with both Android and iOS devices.
Xiaomi Tag Tracker Specifications and Features
The Xiaomi Tag features a slim 7.2 mm body and weighs just 10 grams, making it easy to attach to personal belongings without adding any bulk. Not to mention that it makes the Xiaomi Tag thinner and lighter than the newly launched Apple AirTag 2, which measures 8 mm in thickness and weighs 11.8 grams.

A key highlight of the Xiaomi Tag is its dual ecosystem support. The tracker works with Apple's Find My network as well as Google's Find Hub, allowing both iOS and Android users to locate lost items. The device also offers a solid battery endurance of a year, post which it can be replaced as well.
Users can trigger a built-in buzzer to find nearby items, receive left-behind alerts and enable Lost Mode to share contact details securely. Xiaomi also includes encrypted communication and anti-stalking protections with its tracker.
The Xiaomi Tag comes with an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance. However, it doesn't feature ultra-wideband (UWB) support, meaning it lacks precise directional tracking found on some premium competitors.
As for the Xiaomi Tag price, it's aggressively set at RM 79 (approximately Rs 1,800) for a single unit in Malaysia, with promo offers bringing it lower. It can be purchased via the official Xiaomi store.
