Summary

  • The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is thinner and lighter and Google says it's 3x more durable than the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, thanks to a new composite back.
  • It's powered by the new Tensor G6 chip, the display can go up to 3,600 nits and packs a new 48MP main sensor with support up to 30x Super Zoom.
  • Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold offers a slightly larger battery, and that is all.

Google has unveiled the Pixel 11 Pro Fold at its Made by Google event, and it's the most polished foldable the company has designed so far. It's thinner, lighter and tougher than the Pixel 10 Pro Fold and brings the new Tensor G6 chip. That said, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is still a very capable foldable, and it now costs less. So, if you are stuck choosing between the two, this comparison between the Pixel 11 Pro Fold and Pixel 10 Pro Fold will help you make the decision.

Pixel 11 Pro Fold vs Pixel 10 Pro Fold: Design

  • The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is thinner at 10.1mm and lighter at 239 grams. It has the thinnest bezel on any Pixel Fold yet
  • A new composite back makes it 3x more durable than the Pixel 10 Pro Fold and both phones keep an IP68 rating
  • The Pixel 11 Pro Fold adds a new HiLight notification light and comes in Olive only

In terms of design, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold has been upgraded the most. It now measures 10.1mm folded, which is thinner than the Pixel 10 Pro Fold and it weighs 239 grams, compared to 258 grams on the Pixel 10 Pro Fold.

Google says the Pixel 11 Pro Fold is 10% lighter and it has the thinnest bezel of any Pixel Fold, so the screen looks more modern too.

Durability is the other big change. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold uses a new composite back that Google says is nearly impossible to crack. The phone is rated 3x more durable than the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. Both foldables come with an IP68 dust and water rating, so you are covered either way. That said, the newer model is more durable.

Google has also added a small HiLight RGB light in the camera bar that glows on the back to indicate notifications when the phone is face down. In addition, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold is coming this year in Olive only. You can check out all new Pixel 11 colours in our dedicated article.

To be fair, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold still holds its own. It has an aluminium frame, a Gorilla Glass Victus 2 cover and the same IP68 protection and it comes in Moonstone and Jade colours. That said, it's marginally thicker at 10.8mm folded and noticeably heavier, so the Pixel 11 Pro Fold clearly wins the design round.

Pixel 11 Pro Fold vs Pixel 10 Pro Fold: Display

  • Both foldables use an 8-inch inner foldable panel. However, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold has a 6.5-inch cover screen at 120Hz
  • The Pixel 11 Pro Fold's Super Actua panels are 20% brighter and peak at 3,600 nits
  • The Pixel 10 Pro Fold peaks at 3,000 nits, so it's relatively dimmer in harsh sunlight

Coming to the display comparison, the two foldables look similar. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold keeps the same 8-inch inner LTPO OLED panel, but now has a slightly larger 6.5-inch cover screen. Both panels run at a smooth 120Hz refresh rate.

The only area where the Pixel 11 Pro Fold does better is brightness. Google says the new Super Actua panels are 20% brighter inside and out and they peak at 3,600 nits. That is a huge upgrade for outdoor visibility, especially on a large foldable screen.

On the other hand, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold caps out at 3,000 nits peak brightness on both the inner and cover displays. It's still a great panel with HDR support and a 120Hz refresh rate, so in day-to-day usage,  you will not feel the difference. But under direct sunlight, the newer Pixel 11 Pro Fold wins comfortably.

Pixel 11 Pro Fold vs Pixel 10 Pro Fold: Hardware

  • The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is powered by the new Tensor G6 chipset with a Titan M3 security chip while the Pixel 10 Pro Fold uses the Tensor G5 and Titan M2
  • Google claims 25% faster web browsing, 15% faster app loading and up to 20% better power efficiency over the Tensor G5
  • Its TPU has 50% more computing power and 2x the memory bandwidth for on-device Gemini Nano and there is a new MediaTek M90 modem

The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is powered by the new Tensor G6 chipset, which is Google's fastest and most powerful chip yet. It also packs an upgraded Titan M3 security coprocessor. Compared to the Tensor G5, Google claims 25% faster web browsing performance, 15% faster app loading and up to 20% better power efficiency. After all, Google has packed Arm's latest C1-series CPU cores.

The chip also brings an improved TPU with 50% more computing power and double the memory bandwidth to run its most advanced on-device Gemini Nano AI model. Notably, Google has brought a new MediaTek M90 modem in place of the Exynos modem used on previous Pixel Fold devices. It was a long-standing issue on the Pixel lineup, and it's finally been fixed. You can now expect better signal and battery life.

Moving to the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, it runs the Tensor G5 processor with the older Titan M2 chip. It's paired with 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, the same as the newer model. It handles everyday multitasking, split-screen apps and media playback without much fuss, but Pixel chips have never chased benchmark numbers, and that has not changed.

Simply put, the biggest wins on the Tensor G6 are CPU, modem and overall efficiency. The GPU doesn't look like an upgrade, so gamers should temper their expectations. Still, for a foldable meant for productivity and AI, the newer chip is smarter and runs cooler

Pixel 11 Pro Fold vs Pixel 10 Pro Fold: Cameras

  • The Pixel 11 Pro Fold gets a new 48 MP main sensor with 56% better light sensitivity
  • Super Zoom jumps from 20x on the Pixel 10 Pro Fold to 30x on the Pixel 11 Pro Fold
  • Both keep a 10.5 MP ultrawide and a 10.8 MP 5x telephoto, plus 10 MP selfie cameras on each screen

The Pixel 11 Pro Fold packs a new 48 MP main sensor that Google says delivers 56% more light sensitivity. And just like before, there is a 10.8 MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom, but the Super Zoom now reaches 30x, up from 20x on the older Fold.

There is also a 10.5 MP ultrawide lens with a 127-degree field of view and Google is promising better low-light performance, thanks to the bigger main sensor.

The Pixel 10 Pro Fold uses the same camera layout: a 48 MP main, a 10.5 MP ultrawide with a wider 127-degree field of view and a 10.8 MP 5x telephoto. However, its Super Zoom is limited to 20x and shoots regular video up to 4K @ 60 FPS.

Both phones keep the 10 MP selfie cameras, one on the inner display and one on the cover. Basically, the camera hardware is more of a refinement this year, since the ultrawide and telephoto resolutions are basically unchanged. But the new main sensor, 30x zoom and the video upgrades make the Pixel 11 Pro Fold a more enticing phone.

Pixel 11 Pro Fold vs Pixel 10 Pro Fold: Software

  • The Pixel 11 Pro Fold ships with Android 17 out of the box, while the Pixel 10 Pro Fold launched on Android 16
  • Both foldables get 7 years of OS updates, security patches and Pixel Drops
  • Google is bringing Gemini Intelligence on the Pixel 11 Pro Fold with proactive help and features like App Bubbles

On the software side, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold ships with Android 17 out of the box and is built around Gemini Intelligence. Google is pushing Gemini Intelligence as proactive and personal everyday help rather than a chatbot you have to open.

There are foldable tricks too, like App Bubbles, which lets you turn any app into a floating window on your screen. It could be a game-changer on a foldable for multi-tasking.

Moving on, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold launched on Android 16, but it has also received Android 17 and AI features through updates. The older foldable is also likely to get Gemini Intelligence features. Both phones also get Google's excellent 7 years of OS updates, security patches and Pixel Drops.

Pixel 11 Pro Fold vs Pixel 10 Pro Fold: Battery and Charging

  • The Pixel 10 Pro Fold actually has a larger 5,015mAh battery against the Pixel 11 Pro Fold's 4,750mAh battery
  • Both foldables claim 24+ hour battery life
  • Wireless charging is faster on the newer model with 25W Qi2.2 support, up from 15W

Since the Pixel 11 Pro Fold has a thinner and lighter body, it ships with a smaller 4,806mAh battery, compared to the 5,015mAh battery in the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. Google still says that both foldables have a 24+ hour battery rating. It seems the Tensor G6's efficiency gains may make up the difference, but on capacity alone, this is a step back.

As for wired charging, both phones support 30W charging over a cable and hit 50% in about 30 minutes, so nothing has changed there. However, in wireless charging, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold has moved to 25W Qi2.2 Pixelsnap charging, which Google calls 20% faster than the 15W Qi2 on the Pixel 10 Pro Fold.

To sum up, if raw capacity matter more to you, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold has the edge, while the Pixel 11 Pro Fold wins on faster wireless charging.

All things considered, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold is the more polished foldable. It is thinner, lighter and tougher; the screens are brighter; and the Tensor G6 is faster and more efficient. Not to mention, the new 48MP main sensor with 30x zoom gives it an edge in the camera department. If you are buying a new Pixel foldable in 2026, this is the one to get.

That said, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold still holds value. It has a larger 5,015mAh battery, the same 7-year update promise and the same software experience. If you already own one, there is no reason to upgrade, but if you are hunting for a deal, you could grab the older Pixel 10 Pro Fold at a discounted price.

On pricing, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold starts at Rs 1,86,999 in India, but note that this is for the 512GB base variant, whereas the Pixel 10 Pro Fold launched at Rs 1,72,999 for 256GB.
