The Pixel 10 Pro Fold, on the other hand, measures 5.2mm when unfolded and 10.8mm when folded and it weighs 258 grams. It feels bulkier in hand, but Google has one massive advantage here. It brings a full IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
The Fold 8 Ultra settles for IP48, which means it's protected against water submersion, but fine dust particles can still get inside the hinge. For a phone with moving parts, that dust protection matters the most.

Not only that, Samsung's new Flex Titanium display and thicker ultra-thin glass make the panel sturdier and reduce the crease compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 7. The 6.5-inch cover display (2,520 x 1,080) matches the inner screen resolution at 422 PPI and is also taller and easier to type on than before.
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold features an 8-inch Super Actua Flex LTPO OLED panel at 2,076 x 2,152 resolution and a 6.4-inch cover screen protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The panel can reach a 3,000 nits peak brightness, so outdoor visibility is excellent. That said, at around 374 PPI, the inner screen is not as sharp as Samsung's and the crease on the Pixel is more noticeable than what Samsung's newer panels offer.

Meanwhile, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is powered by Google's Tensor G5 chip with 16GB of RAM across all variants. In our Tensor G5 benchmark, the chipset managed only 1,291,252 points on AnTuTu and got 2,285 in single-core and 6,191 in multi-core on Geekbench.

So which foldable deserves your money? If we go purely by the hardware, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is simply the stronger phone. It has a sharper display with a much-improved crease, the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, a 200MP camera and faster 45W charging, all in a thinner and lighter body.
That said, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold has strengths of its own. It's the only foldable here with full IP68 protection and brings a longer 5x optical zoom, Qi2 wireless charging and Google's Gemini Intelligence experience.
