MediaTek's new Dimensity 7500 chipset (also called Dimensity 7500 Turbo) is not your usual chip refresh. Under the hood, the Dimensity 7500 features the most significant CPU change the 7-series has seen in years. It has jumped straight to Arm's newest core architecture and brings Arm C1 series CPU cores to the mid-range segment for the first time. Now, let's go ahead and learn more about its CPU, GPU, specifications and leaked benchmark numbers.
Dimensity 7500 CPU
MediaTek has dropped the Cortex-A78 and Cortex-A55 cores, which were being used from 2020 and moved to Arm's latest C1 cores. It's the first 7-series MediaTek chipset built on the Armv9.3-A instruction set. The Dimensity 7500 packs 4x Arm C1-Pro cores clocked at 2.6GHz and 4x Arm C1-Nano cores clocked at 2.0GHz.
Note that the clock speeds are identical to the Dimensity 7400 chipset, which means that performance gain comes from architecture and IPC (instructions per cycle) improvements, not by simply cranking the frequency. With the introduction of Arm C1 cores in the mid-range segment, things have changed meaningfully.

Meanwhile, an early Geekbench 6 listing, running on the Vivo S60 Vitality Edition, has revealed Dimensity 7500's CPU performance. The Dimensity 7500 achieved 1,243 in single-core and 3,569 in multi-core. The Dimensity 7400, on the other hand, managed 1,050 and 2,939 in the same test.
Basically, the Dimensity 7500 is about 18% faster in single-core and 21% faster in multi-core performance at the same clock speeds. And if we talk about leaked AnTuTu scores, the Dimensity 7500 is expected to score above 1 million points on AnTuTu V11.
Since the gain comes from architectural improvements, the Dimensity 7500 should offer better efficiency. Arm says the C1-Nano is up to 26% more power-efficient than the Cortex-A520 and the Dimensity 7400 was running the much older Cortex-A55. So, the real-world efficiency gain on the little cores should be significant.
Keep in mind that the Dimensity 7500 uses the mid-tier cores of the C1 family. Arm's C1-series already proved its prowess in our Dimensity 9500 benchmarks, but the flagship chip uses the top C1-Ultra and C1-Premium cores. The Dimensity 7500 gets the new architecture, but with Pro and Nano cores.

Dimensity 7500 GPU
The Dimensity 7500 brings the Arm Mali-G625 MC2 GPU and replaces the Mali-G615 MC2 GPU in the Dimensity 7400. While both processors pack a 2-core GPU, there is an architectural jump here as well.
The old Mali-G615 GPU was based on a 4th-gen Valhall design, whereas the Mali-G625 GPU belongs to Arm's newer 5th Gen GPU family. The problem is that MediaTek is stuck with a 2-core (MC2) configuration on the Dimensity 7500 as well.

That said, a newer architecture at the same core count will improve efficiency and add features, but it won't transform raw gaming throughput. MediaTek should have done more here because the previous Mali-G615 MC2 GPU was already behind on graphics. The Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chip and its Adreno 812 GPU was around 46% ahead of the Dimensity 7400's Mali-G615 GPU in our testing.
The new Mali-G625 GPU will narrow the gap, but on a 2-core config, I think it won't beat the competition. For casual and mid-tier gaming, it should be perfectly fine, but for heavier titles, the chip may struggle.

In my opinion, the Dimensity 7500 is a better chip in terms of architecture and it's not a routine or incremental bump. It has gone from Cortex-A78 to C1-Pro cores in one shot and the early Geekbench figures confirm it's a meaningful improvement with better efficiency. For everyday tasks, app switching, and on-device AI features, this chip should feel noticeably faster than the predecessor.
However, sticking with a 2-core Mali-G625 MC2 GPU means it may still remain behind rivals like the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor on raw graphics performance. But you also get a Release 17 5G modem, up from the R16 modem in the Dimensity 7400. I would suggest waiting for our in-depth benchmark figures so we can draw a firm conclusion.
