Nothing OS 4.1 is here with the launch of the Nothing Phone (4a) series, and it brings a host of new features and improvements. The update isn't counted as a major update, so it will be rolling out to most Nothing phones over the course of a few weeks. However, if you don't know whether your Nothing phone is supported, here are all the Nothing OS 4.1 eligible devices.
Nothing OS 4.1 Eligible Devices
The Nothing Phone (4a) and Phone (4a) Pro come with the latest version out of the box. Following the Essential Voice announcement, Nothing OS 4.1 is now rolling out to all Nothing phones mentioned in our Nothing OS 4.0 supported smartphones. This includes all devices launched after the Nothing Phone (2), barring the Phone (3a) Lite.
Here's a quick overview of what the rollout schedule could look like:
| Nothing OS 4.1 Eligible Devices | Expected rollout | Current Status |
|---|---|---|
| Nothing Phone (4a)/ (4a) Pro | March 2026 | Out of the box |
| Nothing Phone (3) | April 2026 | Rolling out |
| Nothing Phone (3a)/ (3a Pro) | April 2026 | Rolling out |
| Nothing Phone (3a) Lite | Early May 2026 | Pending rollout |
| Nothing Phone (2a)/ (2a) Plus | April 2026 | Rolling out |
| Nothing Phone (2) | April 2026 | Rolling out |
| CMF Phone 2 Pro | April 2026 | Rolling out |
| CMF Phone 1 | April 2026 | Rolling out |
Nothing OS 4.1 features aren't comprehensive and mostly consist of minor improvements building on the previous Nothing OS 4.0 additions. Nothing also notes that some features that are available on the Nothing Phone (3) and Phone (4a) might not roll out to other phones before the brand fine-tunes the experience. That said, here's a brief overview of all the features the release brings:
- New Lock Screen Clock and customisations
- Improved Live Update integration
- Cleaner Essential Notifications
- Stability improvements
Users should get a system notification when the update gradually rolls out to more smartphones. It's worth noting that these estimated release windows are subject to change and could also differ regionally. It's unlikely that Nothing will release an official rollout timeline, but we should hear more about the rollout soon, so stay tuned.
