iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max Deals in Flipkart Big Billion Days sale

Flipkart is offering users a hefty discount on the iPhone 16 Pro, which will be available for Rs 74,900 instead of its regular price of Rs 1,12,900 during the Big Billion Days 2025 sale. On top of the slashed price, interested buyers can also avail an additional Rs 5,000 discount on Axis and ICICI bank credit cards. So, the essential price of the iPhone 16 Pro will be down to Rs 69,900 after a 38% discount. 

At the same time, the Max variant of iPhone 16 Pro is also getting a massive price cut in the Flipkart sale. Instead of its regular price of Rs 1,30,900, the iPhone 16 Pro Max will be available for Rs 94,900. Potential buyers can also take advantage of the aforementioned Axis and ICICI bank credit cards deal to get an extra Rs 5,000 off. This means, the effective price of the iPhone 16 Pro Max will be Rs 89,900, a 31.3% discount on its current price. 

iPhone 16 Pro vs iPhone 16 Pro Max: Which iPhone is a better value?

There's a significant price difference between the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max – Rs 20,000. So, for that much of your money, should you really go with the iPhone 16 Pro Max or stick to the regular iPhone 16 Pro? Here's a breakdown for you to digest easily. 

Let's get the similarities out of the away

For the most part, the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max are nearly identical phones, with minor differences. They're both powered by the Apple A18 Pro chipset, which is more than capable of running high intensive tasks. Both iPhones come with grade 5 titanium frames with IP68 rating for durability and protection. 

When it comes to photography, both the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max will offer the same kind of imaging experience. That's because, the 48 MP main, 12 MP periscope telephoto and 48 MP ultra-wide sensors on the iPhone 16 Pro Max are the exactly identical to the ones on the smaller iPhone 16 Pro model. 

Since both devices are last year's models, they get the same span of software support, which will ideally be five more years of updates. This means, the two iPhones will remain supported all the way up to iOS 31. 

iPhone 16 Pro Max display is larger, but you do need it?

The iPhone 16 Pro is rated at up to 27 hours of video playback. Being the larger of the two, the 16 Pro Max offers a bigger battery that Apple claims will last you up to 33 hours on video playback. That means, the iPhone 16 Pro Max has at least 22% more battery life than its non-Max counterpart. 

On the charging front, though, both iPhones only support 20W charging, meaning the iPhone 16 Pro with the smaller battery will charge to 50% in 30 minutes. That's slightly faster than that of the 16 Pro Max, which can be juiced to 50% in 35 minutes. 

iPhone 16 Pro Max offers more storage but...

The base version of the iPhone 16 Pro on Flipkart has 128 GB of capacity. But the iPhone 16 Pro Max starts at 256 GB of storage. While that's double the space as on the standard Pro model, the argument to be had here is that the Pro Max version is relatively more expensive. 

If storage is of the highest priority, users can also choose the 256 GB version of the iPhone 16 Pro, which is available for an effective price of Rs 79,900. That's still Rs 10,000 lesser than what one would pay for the iPhone 16 Pro Max. 

Verdict: iPhone 16 Pro is better all around

With the differences beyond us, should you buy the iPhone 16 Pro or iPhone 16 Pro Max? The answer is clear. The iPhone 16 Pro offers more bang for your buck over the 16 Pro Max. 

Being Rs 20,000 cheaper, the iPhone 16 Pro doesn't skimp out on features. It gives you the same high-end performance, build, display, camera and software support. Yes, display and battery sizes are smaller, but if you're in the market for a compact phone, then the iPhone 16 Pro is the deal to go for. 

However, if you're actively looking for a large-screen iPhone with a massive battery, then you're better off with the iPhone 16 Pro Max. There's no argument that it's still a better deal over this year's iPhone 17 Pro Max, which is available for Rs 1,45,900 after discount.
