- It will reportedly run the AI chatbot avatar of Siri.
- Apple's AI hardware is said to be made out of glass and aluminium and shaped like a thin circular disc.
Apple is betting big in AI this year. It has already entered into a multi-year deal to let Google Gemini power Siri. Now, a new report has come to light revealing the Cupertino brand's AI hardware dream.
Apple reportedly working on an AirTag-sized AI device
The news comes directly from tech publication The Information, which talks about a new dedicated AI-focused wearable that Apple is prepping behind the scenes. It is still in its early stages, but the core idea has seemingly been fixed.

For starters, the device will be powered by the next-gen Siri-infused Apple Intelligence chatbot, codenamed Campos. It will be similar in formfactor to that of the current Apple AirTag. However, the hardware components will be drastically different.
It has been described in the report as a thin, flat and circular disc-like contraption which will have an aluminium and glass shell. Users will be able to wear the AI device on their clothes like a lapel pin. However, given the sheer nature of the hardware inside, it could be slightly thicker and bulkier than a regular AirTag.

Moreover, the Apple-made AI Pin will also incude two front facing camera with one standard and the other one, a wide-angle lens. Throughout the chassis, there could be a three mic array to copture sound and record audios.
Aside from that, it could feature built-in speakers, physical controls, wireless charging support and more. At first glance, the device is very much reminiscent of the Humane AI Pin, which as we all know, did not gain the smashing success it was hoping for.
However, with the Apple-brand attached, the brand's debut AI hardware could set the benchmark for what future wearable hardware should become. That said, there is no concrete evidence yet of Apple's AI Pin's existence. The report mentions an early 2027 launch window. Given that this is Apple we are talking about, expect it to tread carefully and not rush into the AI madness.
