Apple’s first foldable, the iPhone Duo, goes on sale today, October 23, 2026, in India and over 70 other countries. Alongside this, the brand has officially highlighted over 50 third-party apps and games optimised for the iPhone Duo, including new App Store collections.
iPhone Duo Brings Split View to iPhones for the First Time
Before we get to the apps, there’s one big feature worth knowing about. The Apple iPhone Duo supports Split View, which lets users open two apps side by side. This is the first time an iPhone can do this.
The outer and inner displays also share the same aspect ratio. So, when unfolded, apps can scale up instead of getting cropped or stretched. On top of that, many apps support different positions. The iPhone Duo can be partly folded like a book, laid flat, or propped up on a table.

To help developers, Apple has released new tools with the iOS 27.1 SDK. These include APIs that let apps respond to the hinge angle, split content across the fold and show content on both displays at once.
For example, an app could show a teleprompter on the outer screen while you record video. Apple has also held over 50 in-person workshops for more than 2,000 developers across 19 cities. So, expect a lot more apps to add support in the coming months.
