After releasing the second iOS 26.1 Public Beta on October 9, 2025, Apple has now started the rollout of the iOS 26.1 Public Beta 3 build today. This is the third iOS 26.1 public beta update, which brings the customary system stability improvements and bug fixes, along with a bunch of new changes.
iOS 26.1 Public Beta 3 ships the new Apple TV logo
On October 14, 2025, after almost five years since its inception, the familiar "Apple TV+" logo was redesigned for the first time as part of Apple's "vibrant new look" approach. It now misses out on the "+" symbol and simply reads Apple TV. With the third public beta update, all the iOS 26-supported devices have been updated to reflect this new change.

Moreover, with the new update, Apple is now allowing users to manually decide where their captured audio and video recordings are saved. A new Local Capture menu has been added within the Settings app. It is accessible from the General section within the Settings menu.
Other than that, a new Prefer Single-Touch Actions toggle is also live within the Settings app. This is a dedicated option for the Slide to dismiss alarms and timers feature, which first made its appearance with the iOS 26.1 Public Beta 2 update.
Lastly, iOS 26.1 public beta 3 has tweaked the UI further to polish the overall iOS 26 experience. It has fixed some earlier known bugs and has further enhanced the system stability. On the smoothness front, the Control Centre now features bouncier animations.
That said, eligible users can install iOS 26.1 Public Beta 3 update by heading over to Settings> General> Software Update> Update Now. Alongside iOS 26.1, Apple is also expected to ship third public beta updates of iPadOS 26.1, macOS 26.1, watchOS 26.1, tvOS 26.1 and visionOS 26.1.
