Following the iOS 27 Developer Beta 2 update two weeks ago, Apple has now rolled out the iOS 27.2 Developer Beta 3 update for all eligible iPhones. Unlike the Beta 2 release, the latest one focuses more on delivering system-wide fixes rather than introducing any new features.
iOS 27.2 Developer Beta 3: What's New?
The iOS 27.2 Developer Beta 3 update comes with build number 24B5099f and is 1.27 GB in size. Apple has not added any major new features in this beta. Instead, it focuses on bug fixes and stability improvements.
As per early beta testers, iOS 27.2 Developer Beta 3 has improved Face ID on the iPhone 18 Pro and the iPhone 18 Pro Max.
For those unaware, Face ID on the new iPhones failed to recognise users and would freeze for a moment and then reboot. Apple released an iOS 27.0.1 hotfix to promptly address this and it has now extended with the third iOS 27.2 developer beta as well.

The new update has also fixed issues with GPS, which became a persistent issue after the iOS 27.2 Developer Beta 2 update dropped for all iOS 27 eligible iPhones. Moreover, the update has also fixed the Safari address bar bug, where its border took time to load.
The iOS 27.2 Developer Beta 3 update has also added a new splash screen when the iPhone boots up. Aside from that, the new build carries forward several of the iOS 27.2 Beta 2 features, like the redesigned Health app, multi-language in Siri AI, dual capture for group FaceTime calls and Apple TV profiles.
That said, registered beta testers can download and install the iOS 27.2 Developer Beta 3 update by heading to Settings -> General -> Software Update.
The update is available to those on at least the iPhone 11 and extends up to the latest iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and the iPhone Duo.
