Apple is reportedly gearing up to announce its highly anticipated iPhone 17 lineup during the week of September 8, 2025. If the latest report is to be believed, this continues Apple's tradition of early-September launch events.
According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple is "planning to announce" the next iPhones during the week of September 8, 2025. He further reveals that the most likely dates are Tuesday, September 9, 2025, or Wednesday, September 10, 2025.
Gurman notes that Apple traditionally holds its annual iPhone keynote in a way that carefully avoids Fridays and September 11s out of scheduling sensitivity. If the pattern holds, pre-orders for the iPhone 17 lineup could open that same Friday. This could be followed by an official retain launch the next week, that is, Friday, September 19, 2025.

Further, Gurman says to expect official invites in late August, solidifying the final date.
While Gurman doesn't confirm specific hardware details in this update, the new iPhone 17 series is expected to include at least these four models:
- iPhone 17 (standard)
- iPhone 17 Air (a slimmer, new mid-tier option)
- iPhone 17 Pro
- iPhone 17 Pro Max
Thanks to leaks and reports, we also know that the iPhone 17 could come with design refinements. Besides, the upcoming iPhones are also expected to see a broader adoption of high-refresh-rate displays. A couple of days ago, a leak revealed the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air colours as well.
The upcoming September event remains Apple's biggest stage of the year. For now, Apple has yet to formally announce the event, but all signs definitely point to a familiar launch cycle.
