The wait is finally over! Apple has officially announced the date for its next major iPhone event, confirming when we can expect to see the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.
The Cupertino giant has sent out invitations for a special event at the Steve Jobs Theatre in Apple Park on September 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. PT (or 10:30 PM IST).
The event carries the tagline "Surprise and shine", with Apple's invitation featuring a glowing Apple logo and a bright light shining through it. This also lines up with previous iPhone 18 Pro launch date reports, which had suggested that Apple would hold its premium iPhone launch event in the first half of September.
Apple has not explicitly mentioned the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max in the event invitation. The company simply calls it a "special Apple Event," meaning there could be more than just the new Pro iPhones in store.
The biggest surprise could be Apple's long-rumoured foldable iPhone Ultra. Multiple reports have suggested that Apple could launch its first foldable alongside the iPhone 18 Pro models at this event.
However, it remains unclear whether the foldable iPhone will go on sale immediately after the event. Reports have pointed to the iPhone Ultra availability being delayed due to production challenges.
