The Apple OLED iPad mini launched with the A20 Pro chipset last week and it goes on sale on November 6, 2026. However, it looks like the brand isn’t done with iPads yet, as three new iPads are reportedly set to arrive in the next few months.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is planning to launch three new iPads in the first half of 2027. The lineup includes a new iPad Air, an upgraded iPad Pro, and an entry-level iPad, with the biggest upgrade coming to the iPad Air.
Gurman says the next iPad Air will get an OLED display. So far, OLED has been limited to the iPad Pro and, more recently, the iPad mini. If this is true, the iPad Air would become the third iPad with an OLED screen.
The current iPad Air runs on the M4 chipset, so the next model will likely use the M5. However, Gurman hasn’t confirmed which processor it will use.

Moving on, the next iPad Pro is expected to get a vapour chamber cooling system. Gurman says it will help dissipate heat and improve sustained performance, so the iPad Pro should be able to run heavy tasks for longer without slowing down. This comes as iPhones and Android phones already use vapour chambers to keep things cool.
The current iPad Pro has the M5 chip, so the next model will likely get the M6 chip. Apple is already expected to bring the M6 to its new MacBook Pro and iMac on November 6, 2026.

As for the entry-level iPad, an earlier leak suggests that it will get the A19 processor. That would bring Apple Intelligence features to Apple’s cheapest iPad for the first time.
The current A16 iPad doesn’t support Apple Intelligence. The new iPad is also tipped to get Apple’s N1 chip for Wi-Fi 7 and the C1X modem in cellular models.
That said, Gurman hasn’t shared exact launch dates for these iPads yet. Apple has often launched new iPads in spring, so March or April 2027 seems likely. Hence, stay tuned.
