It has been a week since the first iOS 26.4 Developer Beta update dropped and Apple has now started seeding the second developer beta update of iOS 26.4. The latest iOS build has further tweaked the UI interface and has brought several new changes for iPhones.
iOS 26.4 Developer Beta 2 adds encrypted RCS and redesigned Games app
One of the big changes in the first developer beta of iOS 26.4 for iOS 26-supported devices was support for encrypted RCS messages. The same has now been widely rolled out in the second developer beta update, with build number 23E5218e. iPhone owners can now enjoy the E2EE encryption protocol for messages shared between Apple Messages and Google Messages.
The next noticeable change has arrived within the Games app. It now comes with a Liquid Glass bottom tab, which integrates the Search tab alongside the Home, Arcade, Friends and Library tabs. Users can conveniently click on the search option to find installed games on iPhones. It moves the search bar to the top when accessed.

Another area where iOS 26.4 Developer Beta 2 shines is in accessibility. The Accessibility settings page now comes with a new “Reduce Highlighting Effects” toggle inside the Display & Text Size menu. This new toggle is aimed at helping photosensitive people reduce the effects around the edges of buttons and sliders.
Aside from that, the latest update also brings the AI-backed Playlist Playground feature in Apple Music. It also carries forward the full-screen album art display from the iOS 26.4 Public Beta 1 update. The Apple Podcasts app also now supports video podcasts and the Stolen Device Protection feature is now on by default.
That said, eligible users can update to the latest iOS 26.4 Developer Beta 2 by going to Settings> General> Software Update> Update Now. The update is currently going live from the iPhone 11 to the latest iPhone 17 series.
