Summary

  • Nothing has hired ex-Poco Country Head Himanshu Tandon as the new Vice President of Business for sub-brand CMF.
  • Tandon's role will be to solidify CMF's position in India among its Gen Z audience and build a strong international presence.
  • At Poco, Tandon was directly involved with some popular launches in India, like the Poco X7 series and Poco F7.

Nothing's sub-brand CMF is known for launching value-for-money products and accessories in the Indian tech space. The primary goal of CMF is to cater to the needs of the value-conscious Indian tech consumers. Now, the brand is further solidifying its presence in the country with a new Vice President of Business.

Nothing co-founder and CEO Carl Pei announced the official appointment of Himanshu Tandon as the new CMF Vice President of Business. If the name sounds familiar, it is expected since this is the same Himanshu Tandon who spearheaded Poco's India operations for more than the last three years as its Country Head.

The now ex-country Poco head became a popular face among the Indian tech space, especially with tech enthusiasts in general and Poco-fans in particular. Now, he is shifting his allegiances from the "Yellow Club" to the "Orange Club".

As part of his new duties, Tandon will be responsible for building a strong presence of CMF in India, especially amongst its Gen Z youth. He will then be responsible for overseeing the brand's global growth, expansion and go-to-market execution.

We created CMF to address a gap in the mass-market consumer tech segment, which had become predictable and uninspiring. Himanshu’s proven success makes him the ideal leader to shape CMF’s next phase of growth.

Tandon's transition to CMF doesn't come as a surprise since the news of his exit from Poco has been floating around since July 2025. He himself made a statement on X, sharing his departure. However, at that time, he didn't mention where he was heading next, although rumours did hint at CMF. Now, after a month, it is finally official.

Nothing has been one of the most exciting and disruptive forces in tech. What excites me most about CMF is how it speaks the language of today’s youth. I’m thrilled to begin this next chapter.

This comes almost a month after Nothing announced the move of CMF's global marketing operations to India. Hence, CMF's focus on the Indian market is loud and clear. With recent launches like the CMF Phone 2 Pro, the CMF Buds 2 series and more, the brand is clearly bringing good products to its "most important" market.

Now, with Tandon, who was instrumental in launching popular products like the Poco X7 Pro and the Poco F7, it will be interesting to see how he shapes the next CMF consumer products.
