In an attempt to deepen its roots and accelerate growth in India, CMF by Nothing has now announced that it's shifting its entire Global Marketing function to the subcontinent. The announcement comes from Akis Evangelidis, Nothing's India Head, who took to his official X handle to share the update.

This comes as part of the brand's broader ambition to transform CMF into a global name built from India itself.
"With CMF, we have a real opportunity to build something truly different and significant," Evangelidis noted, emphasizing that the transition will help the brand move faster, stay closer to its key market, and strengthen its foundations in India. Evangelidis added that this will be "the one that will define its next phase of growth."

As Evangelidis also notes, this move comes at a time when India is growing rapidly in the global consumer tech ecosystem. Moreover, he also states how government-backed initiatives like 'Make in India' and the Product Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme have positioned the country as an emerging hub for design, innovation and large-scale manufacturing of smartphones.
CMF launched under the Nothing umbrella to focus on delivering affordable yet design-first tech products. And, this shift signals a strategy to not just localise but also globalise from within India. This is a clear indication of how India is CMF's "most important market" and how it will influence global product roadmaps.
This doesn't come as a surprise, since even the recently launched Nothing Phone (3) was also marketed as a Made in India product.
Evangelidis closed his statement on an optimistic note, hinting at "exciting times ahead" as CMF gears up for its next chapter from its new marketing base in India.
