Google appears to be inching closer to launching its much-anticipated AI Studio app for Android and iOS. After teasing the app at the Google I/O 2026 event recently and opening Android pre-registrations, a fresh App Store listing now reveals the potential release date.
Google AI Studio App for iPhone Launch
We spotted the AI Studio listing on iPhone's App Store and it says that the app is "Coming Soon" with an expected July 1, 2026, release date. It's not clear if the Android version of AI Studio will also launch on the same date.
So far, Google has not committed to a release date for the AI Studio app on Android. However, the iPhone App Store listing is the first time Google has put an expected date. Of course, this might just be a placeholder date set by Google for the App Store's requirements.
In case you are unaware, Google unveiled the AI Studio app at I/O 2026 for vibe coding on mobile phones. You can speak or type your app idea and AI Studio creates a working app right on your phone. The App Store listing describes it as "your next big idea is just a conversation away".
Not to mention, you can remix apps from a gallery of community apps, get AI-generated app icons and switch between your phone and PC while something complex is being built. You don't have to keep the app active as it can work in the background.
The AI Studio app weighs 114.3 MB and needs iOS 18.0 or later to run. The App Store listing also confirms support for English and 75 more languages, including Hindi, Punjabi, Marathi, Bengali and more. You can tap on the bell icon on the App Store listing to get notified the moment the app goes live.
By the way, Google also announced Gemini Spark at I/O 2026. It's Google's new 24/7 personal AI agent built on Gemini 3.5 Flash and Google's Antigravity harness. The AI agent is coming to the Gemini app on macOS later this summer. Spark can read local files, organise documents, extract data from PDFs into Google Sheets and handle multi-step workflows across Gmail, Docs and Slides.
