Summary

  • Renders of the upcoming Google Pixel 10a have now surfaced online, revealing a design similar to the Pixel 9a.
  • The renders suggest a phone with similar dimensions, a 6.2-inch display and a flat dual camera setup at the back.
  • Pixel 10a is expected to be powered by the Tensor G4 chipset and could arrive by the end of 2025 or start of 2026.

Leaked CAD-based renders of the upcoming Pixel 10a have surfaced, suggesting the next iteration of Google's budget-friendly smartphone will retain a design similar to its previous generation. Besides, there's information about the device sticking to the previous Tensor processor.

Pixel 10a renders suggest slimmer bezels

The renders were first posted by Android Headlines and give us a complete look at the Pixel 10a's design in Indigo Blue colourway. The renders showcase the same design as the Pixel 9a with a flat horizontal camera module that appears to house two sensors.

One small but evident change is that the camera units are packed slightly tighter, resulting in a smaller pill-shaped module. The bezels at the front, although still thick, are considerably thinner than the Pixel 9a's, almost identical to the Pixel 10.

The volume rocker remains below the power button, while the antenna lines and speaker, microphone holes can be seen at the bottom. Size-wise, the Pixel 10a is expected to boast similar dimensions to the Pixel 9a, with a 6.2-inch display and a 9mm thickness.

While the render arrives in Indigo Blue, the same colour as the Pixel 10, it could only be for representational purposes. The official Pixel 10a colourways could end up being completely different.

As for the specifications, previous rumours suggested the Pixel 10a could boast Tensor G4 chipset, rather than the latest Tensor G5. This decision could be driven by the higher manufacturing costs associated with the TSMC-produced Tensor G5.

Other rumoured specifications include a large 5,100mAh battery and a similar camera setup to the previous generation. Google is also expected to maintain its 7-year software commitment, and the pricing is also expected to start around the Rs 49,999 mark for the 128 GB variant.

Based on these leaks, the Pixel 10a appears to be an incremental upgrade over the Pixel 9a. While there's no official launch timeline yet, previous information suggested the Pixel 10a could launch early, by the end of 2025. Considering it's a Pixel, almost all details should unfold in the next few months, so stay tuned.
